PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
- Remember that SEASAC is for fun and enjoyment.
- Be reasonable in your demands and try to assist young people in achieving a good balance between the various demands on them.
- Teach understanding and respect for the rules.
- Instill in your players respect for officials and an acceptance of their judgement.
- Ensure that equipment and facilities meet safety standards and are appropriate to the age and ability of the players.
- Be prepared to lose sometimes. Be a fair winner and a good loser.
- Act responsibly when players are ill or injured.
- Promote desirable personal and social behaviours. Coaches often take on the part of role model for many young people.
- Keep your knowledge current.
- Avoid personal relationships with players.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background, religion, etc., and aim to develop such respect in your players.
PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
- Play for the enjoyment of it and not just to please parents and coaches.
- Understand and play by the rules.
- Respect referees and other officials.
- Work equally hard for yourself and for your team.
- Be a good sport. Acknowledge all good performance, whether it is by your team or your opponents.
- Treat all players as you would like to be treated.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person.
- Be prepared to lose sometimes. Be a fair winner and a good loser.
- Listen to the advice of your coach and try to apply it at practice and in games.
- Always respect the use of facilities and equipment provided.
