Arrival & Departure
Teams should plan to arrive on Thursday 23rd November by 6.00pm in time for the coaches meeting at 7.00pm in Park Royal on Kitchener Road. After the conclusion of the event, departure from UWCSEA Dover will be from 1.15pm onwards on Saturday 25th November. Flights should be booked to leave no earlier than 4.00 pm.
The Individual and team race will be held at MacRitchie Reservoir on the morning of Friday 24th November and the Relay will be held at Medway Park on the morning of Saturday 25th November.
Coaches will be provided with security passes – they should wear these on entrance to the College campus and during the tournament. Teams need to take responsibility for their own valuables. The College has excellent security, but coaches should ensure athletes’ valuables are stored away safely.
Packed lunches will be available for collection after the individual race, 9.30am on Friday 24th November. The Saturday's Barbeque lunch will be at the UWCSEA Dover swimming pool from 12.30pm - 2.30pm.
There will be water provided at both the race venues. Schools should ensure that athletes bring a water bottle that they can refill when required as paper cups will not be provided.
There will be an ambulance and medics on duty at the MacRitchie Reservoir on Friday 24th November and a nurse at the Medway Park on Saturday 25th November. Should we need to take an athlete for hospital treatment, we will use Mount Alvernia Hospital on Friday and the NUH Hospital on Saturday. Staff are requested to ensure that they can provide all necessary contact details and documents for insurance purposes and have the funds to cover expenses incurred.
The transport contact for both boys and girls tournaments is Carol Tolentino. Carol will coordinate transfers between the airport and Park Royal Hotel and between the hotel and competition venues. Her number, along with other important numbers are in the contact list on this website.
Presentation, awards event and lunch.
This will be held at UWCSEA Dover on Saturday in the exam hall. The presentation and awards event will include a slide show of the Championships and presentation of one MVP award per team, medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams in the team race and trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in the individual race and team event (which is calculated by combining results from the day 1 team events with the day 2 relay results). We will not return to hotel on Saturday 25th November after the Relay Race has finished (except Bangkok Patana School), so please ensure students bring a change of clothes with them on the day. There will be an opportunity to swim at the pool barbeque lunch after the presentations so please bring appropriate attire.
